Greeting from Coach Development Team! We guess that you would see some things new in the class tools… such as new stickers! Thus, this content will be talking about our new stickers and how we, Globish coaches and Coach Management Team can implement a better class experience for our students together!

First, we would like to talk about the “Encouragement” in class. Here is the crucial one because it is one of the factors for the good class experience. We always encourage our friends, family, and other people, when they are sad or need support, the students do need so. The stickers will be another message to convey the support and cheer them up, as well as it is cute to see.

 Short notice: These stickers will be implemented only in the new classroom system "Space for all".

What are they ? and how to use them?

Group 1: Encouragement

Here is the only example of stickers that you will see in class. There are 14 stickers in total for this group including word arts, cartoons, and some effects. The purpose of the Encouragement group are;

  • To cheer up the students
  • Use when the students complete the exercises in the lesson such as Let’s play, Let’s draw, Definition, etc. except Challenge part
  • Use when the students answer the question that was made up by the coach.
  • To urge the student’s interaction

For example:

  • The student can complete the reading exercise, and you want to compliment the student. So, the coach can give “Woow” or “Nice” or Good Job” to her as a compliment.
  • The coach comes up with a challenge of looking for the vocabulary starting with the letter “E” as many as possible within 5 minutes. So, when the time is over, the coach may use the “Time's up” sticker. (The challenge is created by the coach, not from the lesson. Thus, the Encouragement stickers will be used)

You may use it with kids and adults throughout the class as well.

Group 2: Reward

This is the new group for our sticker. There are 12 stickers for you in this group. The purpose is;

  • To indicate or mark the particular class performance or student’s overall performance, both kids and adults.
  • Complete the Challenge part

You may use these stickers as the “special sticker”, and they are different from the Encouragement group in terms of the students might get Encouragement stickers easily or every class, while we expect the students will get the Reward sticker because they did well.

For example:

  • Today’s lesson is about the Present Simple Tense. The student explains her daily task and can use the present simple correctly. So, the coach can give “Clapping” or Level Complete”.
  • Giving an “A+” sticker to the student to remark that the student did very well or deserve an A+ sticker for today’s class.
  • Globish for Kids part 2 - lesson 7 My hobbies. The student is able to complete the Challenge part “Look at the pictures and tell your coach what the person is”. The coach may give Reward stickers to the student.
  • In case the coach/student cannot complete the lesson, the coach can give the Reward sticker as a feedback of the class’s performance as well, and write the report for the next coach that the lesson is not finished.

The heart of using stickers in class.

We would like to use this space for a kindly announcement that every sticker that is used in class will be tracked and shown up in the Globish system. The main purpose of the stickers, since we have been using it as one of the tools in class, is to urge the encouragement and make the student enjoy the class. Plus, since we recently came up with the new stickers, the main purpose is still but we also aim to track the student’s performance or class performance as well. As we aim the students will be PLEARN (Play + Learn) by studying with Globish, we hope that our new stickers will spice up your teaching experience, and create a fun class atmosphere.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to tell us via Email manager.globish@gmail.com or Skype: Globish.support.
