What are the things you usually do before class? Bring a glass of water… stretching... Log-in... Check your schedule... Check the student's report... Open material… then enter the class. Those are the basic steps and with that, you are good to go. So, this content will be a kind reminder for class preparation.

First Thing First, Always Check Class Report.

It is mandatory to check the report before class to get the student’s information and previous class report. The main point is the Previous class report as the coach can check the lesson number and important notes from the previous class before starting the lesson. Sometimes, there could be a Special remark about the student as well (most are kids; however, could be possible with an adult's class as well.) Here is the example from student’s report that could be found;

Quick Tips!: “Hello Khun/Miss Natacha” First impression starts with calling a student's first name!. Maybe you can ask if the student prefers to be called by first name or nickname. It is a good class introduction as well.

Then… Go through the lesson before class

After knowing the lesson and course for your upcoming class, it would be perfect if you could go through the lesson for them. It should take merely around 1-minute studying (could be with skimming technique) overall to get the key point. Sometimes, the student may ask the question from role-play which the exercise or practice for that question might be just on the next page, so going through it first will save your time. Another benefit of going through is it will increase the class transition. The student would feel that you prepare well for them. Plus, we would like to kindly remind you that the ‘Definition’ part is the part that students have to cover by themselves.

Ready… Set ... Go!

Here might be a section that many of our coaches overlook. Being ready in terms of the lesson is the duty, and being ready mentally and physically is a must!.

Talking about mental readiness, it is similar to when we have an online business meeting. We have to be fresh, full of information, and active. Simply just like that. And everyone would love to talk with the person who “wow, you’ve made my day”

It is possible to have 5-6 classes in a row or someday you have 4 hours non-stop teaching, studying all of them before your teaching schedule starts could help. Sometimes it could be switching courses as adult and kid then adult, maybe a quick skimming on Challenge Part can give you a very brief of the lesson. But always crosscheck with your student.

PS. Keep cooperating with Class Support. Any in-class errors as cannot open the whiteboard or cannot see each other, please use the Report button or inform them immediately. Plus, there is a chance that the class report is not shown or there is a confusing class report such as the student changes the course or the previous coach has not finished the class report. Any questions on any of these, highly recommend contacting Class Support immediately as well.
